History

In the years prior to the year 2000, squash fixtures in Brisbane were managed by a collective of organisations such as Brisbane Districts Women's Rackets Association, Brisbane Districts Men's Squash Rackets Association (run by volunteers), Squash Court Owners Association Queensland, Brisbane Squash Venues Association and Brisbane Squash League (BSL). The organisations were run by a mixture of players, volunteers and centre operators.

Squash centre operators sought to have more control over the financial decisions which effected their individual businesses and as a result, Squash Brisbane Ltd was formed in May 2000. Since this time Squash Brisbane has maintained strong financial stability with the management of fixtures and tournaments across Brisbane.

The primary business of Squash Brisbane Ltd is the Squash Brisbane fixtures competitions which is conducted through affiliated Squash Brisbane Centres. Fixtures accounts for the majority of income for Squash Brisbane Centres with participation climbing each year.
